Note: While Atlassian ended support for Jira Server in February 2024, the decommission does not impact this course. Whether you still use Server or have migrated to Data Center, the user interface is the same.
This updated course includes new live Jira examples, more examples of how Jira is used, a live tour of each Jira application type, more information about project types, a downloadable glossary to help you with terminology for this course and when navigating the Atlassian ecosystem, additional challenges and solutions, and updated information, screenshots, and quiz questions. Also, in response to your feedback, I added a bonus section to show the issue creation process from start to finish and I also speak slightly slower.

Course Updates
- In the “Sample Queries” section, at 1:41: The query “issuetype = Bug AND status != (Closed)” is incorrect. The fix is to either remove the parenthesis around the “Closed” status or change “!=” to “NOT IN”. E.g., (1) issuetype = Bug and status != Closed (2) issuetype = Bug and status NOT IN (Closed). While we’re at it, “issuetype = Bug” could also be simplified to read “type = Bug”. Thanks for reporting Merlin S!
