Take this course

This course helps Jira and Confluence users and administrators save time and avoid duplication that is common when using multiple separate applications. This course is for Jira or Confluence application administrators, project or space administrators, users, project managers, scrum masters, or product managers. Essentially anyone interested in improving team collaboration!

New to Jira?
If you’re new to Jira, I recommend taking my end user courses first. There’s a version of Learning Jira for Cloud and another version for Server and Data Center. This course assumes you already know how to create, edit, and transition issues, work in Jira projects, and search for and find issues. You might also be interested in my Learning Jira Software course which covers development-specific features and my Planning and Releasing Software with Jira course to learn how Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket work together to support the entire development process.

Course Updates

  • In October 2025, Jira projects will be renamed Jira spaces across all Jira Cloud products (including Jira Service Management and Jira Product Discovery).
  • In April 2025, Atlassian changed the name of everything you track in Jira Cloud from issues to work or work items. The naming change is to support Jira Cloud as the place of work for all teams. This change does not apply to Jira Data Center and records in the database are still called issues.
  • Third-party apps from the Atlassian Marketplace were once called add-ons and plugins. In April 2025, Atlassian shifted away from calling their tools products to also calling them apps.
  • Starting March 17, 2025, Atlassian will progressively roll out a new navigation experience to all Confluence users. Read more
  • In May 2024, Atlassian announced that Jira Software and Jira Work Management are combined under the brand name Jira.
